Software for Architecture, Engineering and Construction

CYPE has developed the official software tool to be used by the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) Nigerian quantity surveyors for bills of quantities, certifications and specifications for the construction projects of the country, as announced today by company sources.

"Thanks to the collaboration agreement signed by the two entities, the Spanish technology has become the first company to develop software that is completely adapted to the Nigerian standards” confirms CYPE’s statement.

As a result of this agreement, the Secretary General of the NIQS, Adebowale O. Oyinleye, and the member of the Technical Committee of the NIOS, Abubakar Wakili, visited the facilities of CYPE in Alicante is week to receive specific training on the program that they will begin to implement amongst the associates of the Institute of Quantity Surveyors.

According to both NIQS representatives, the program developed by CYPE will allow the institute to offer its members "a technological tool that will improve the ethical quantity measurement standards and technical competence" of their professionals.

According to the two representatives of the NIQS, CYPE software will become the official tool of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, a group that currently has more than 4,000 associated technical professionals in Nigeria, according to the statement from the company from Alicante.

Amongst the advantages of the software developed by CYPE, the members of the NIQS have highlighted "the trust it generates, the power of the software, its extensive database, the analysis it performs, and the implementation of Nigerian standards".

The technical director of CYPE, Carlos Fernández, has considered that the development of this computer tool, which is fully adapted to professionals in Nigeria will facilitate their work and the possibility of creating bills of quantities that are more adjusted to reality.

In this regard, Fernández has indicated that the software will also be connected to the Nigerian Database, a new database that Spanish technological company has developed specifically as a result of this collaboration agreement.
