CYPE has returned to its face-to-face activity following the COVID-19 pandemic that was declared in 2020 with its participation and attendance at various international construction trade shows. More specifically, CYPE took part in the SIVECC 2021 in Argelia and the AHR EXPO MÉXICO 2021, to which more attendances will be added this month to other international fairs as well as organising the first meetings in Spain.

CYPE will travel to the UK Construction Week in Birmingham from the 5th to the 7th of October, participate in a presentation at the International Design and Artificial Intelligence Conference at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2021 (October 9) and attend Bucharest's construction and structural engineering association (AICPS) conference on the 20th and 21st of October.

For Carlos Fernández, CYPE’s technical director, returning to face-to-face activity after more than 18 months responds to the current stability of the impact of the virus, as well as “to the needs of our users and distributors who require a closer and more personalised service when using all our tools in order to be more competitive after more than a year of holding online events”.

This way, the Spanish company will gradually return to its pre-pandemic face-to-face activities which will be accompanied by online events given the huge success experienced in the past few months. On this subject, Carlos Fernández recalls that in 2020, CYPE organised almost 700 free training activities and BIM courses in Spanish, Chinese, French, English, Italian and Portuguese. More than 52,000 technicians from all over the world took part in them, a figure that quadrupled the company’s figures from 2019.

In Spain, Seville will host CYPE’s first face-to-face training activity on Thursday 21 October with two sessions, one in the morning and another in the afternoon, in which attendees will learn about the new features that Spain has incorporated with the approval of its new Spanish structures code “Código Estructural” and the update of the Spanish thermal standard RITE, whose new features will be enforced from 1 July 2021.
